Simeona Florendo Garcia

Simeona Florendo Garcia was born on February 15, 1915. Age 102, passed away on Friday, December 15, 2017 at the Providence Mt. Vincent in West Seattle. She was born in Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur Philippines. She is survived by her loving children Loreta, Ernesto, Gloria, Manuel, Melecio, Teresita, Ligaya, Corazon, Simeona, Arturo and Charito.

In her early years our mothr was very talented in embroidery. She embroidered everything by hand, from bed sheets to pillow cases and also skirts. During those times there were no embroidery machines. She did it all with patience and loved her work.

She was an excellent mother. She always cared for her children and her grandchildren. She was a hard worker and never complained.

She always loved getting up early on Sundays and walked to attend mass at St. George church.

Viewings will be held on Friday, January 12 and Saturday, January 13th 2018, with a service on Saturday at 3:00pm by Father Felino at the Columbia Funeral Home, 4567 Rainier Ave. S, Seattle, Washington 98118.

She will be buried at her wishes in Santa Maria Ilocos Sur, Philippines.
