Andrea Bernice Garceau
September 25, 2017Andrea grew up in Thorne, North Dakota with one younger sister, Arlene. Their parents were Etienne and Evelyn Charbonneau who owned a store, a gas station and ran the post office. She frequently talked about the fun times she had growing up in Thorne with her parents and sister. During W.W. II she moved to Seattle and worked at the Boeing Company (Rosie the Riveter). She married Ernest Garceau on October 17th, 1944. After the war they purchased a home in Seattle where they raised two sons, Paul and David. Andrea was always independent with a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eye. She had many friends, loved music, especially playing her organ and always enjoyed her daily glass of white zinfandel. Her social life revolved around her friends and her church – St. George, where she was involved in many parish activities. Andrea is survived by her sister Arlene and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Ernie of 52 years and their two sons Paul and David.
