Curly and Shirley were my lifelong friends. I will miss him terribly--we should all live to be his ripe old age. I enjoyed his company over the last 18 years. He was a wonderful dancer when it came to waltzing. He did it his way (that's for sure). Lucille Schumsky

I am so sorry for your loss. While nothing will completely take away your grief, I have found the scripture at Revelation 21:4 to be especially comforting where it promises that soon God will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more. May God comfort family and friends and give all of you peace in the days ahead. 2 Corinthians 1:3,4

With my sincerest sympathy to all the Hauge children. I babysat the kids many times as a teenager and lived nearby. May his soul rest in peace and my deepest sympathy to his survivors.

I am a first cousin of Curly's late wife Shirley; my sister and I are just old enough to have attended their wedding in 1950, and to have helped babysit their oldest children a couple of times. Later, Curly and Shirley were supportive to our parents as they lived on to their 80s (and for mother, long beyond). We hold happy memories of family parties and celebrations through many decades. Though we have long been out of touch, I happened to be in Seattle this weekend and saw Curly's obit notice in the Times. I want to send sincere condolences to his family, and I will also pass this notice on to other cousins in our family.
