Eric Fort Medalle

Eric F. Medalle - Artist, husband, father, son, brother and friend was born June 15, 1973 in Detroit, Michigan and died March 13, 2016 in Seattle.   First generation Filipino-American born to Fort Noel Medalle and Amelia Medalle (Nee Gonzalez). Eric grew up loving the Detroit Tigers, all things Star Wars, and drawing.  Honing his artistic skills at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, Eric added photographer and lover of life to his repertoire.  Moving to Seattle fueled his love of coffee, black T-shirts, and live- music. There he met the love of his life, Carrie Stradley - with whom he created his best work - daughters Isa and Nico. Eric amused himself, his friends, and his family with his daily palindromes and witty puns.  He lived his life laughing, thrived in his role as a Creative Director at Pokemon International, and prided himself on being a devoted Detroiter.  In addition to his beautiful wife and kids he is survived by his mother, sister Dr. Emelie Medalle,  brother in law Jeffrey Tandoc and sister Nanette Medalle.  In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the girls’ education would be appreciated.

A memorial service to celebrate Eric's life will be held Thursday, March 17th from 2-6PM at Columbia Funeral 4567 Rainier Ave So. Seattle, WA. 98118
