Katherine Iaci

Katherine Iaci (nee Chessa) of Seattle, WA, died peacefully in her home on April 14, 2018.  She was 93 years old.

Katie is survived by her daughter Janice Hall of Seattle, son-in-law David and their two children Lauren and Adam.  She is also survived by her brothers Jack and Vince of Vancouver, B.C. Canada and numerous nieces and nephews.

Katie was preceded in death by her first husband Sam Iaci, her son, Sam, her second husband Joe and her brother Sam.

Katie was born and raised in Vancouver, B.C.  She moved to Seattle with her first husband after they were married.

She loved sewing, red wine with ice, gardening, cooking, her church family, neighbors and her many friends.  She was an active and dedicated member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, where she volunteered much of her time.

Katie loved everyone and they loved her in return.  She will be remembered for her many parties, especially, the impromptu backyard get-togethers with neighbors.  She will be greatly missed.

A funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, April 24th at 10:30 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Seattle, on 10001 57th Ave. S. Seattle, reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Advocacy and Caring for Children’s (ACC) Father Vogel Circle.
