I saw that one of your family members has passed. I thought it would be nice if I left you with a comforting scripture. One of my favorite is Revelation 21:4, which says, “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Another scripture that I really like is Isaiah 33:24, and I would recommend reading it. I know that God will comfort you in this difficult time and I hope you can find comfort in his words.

From our chicano movement days in the 70s in the Valley, to all of her work and dedication to la causa throughout the years, I always respected Maribel's strength and courage. Always la luchadora!
