In Loving Memory of Norma Suba Ramos

 

Norma Suba Ramos, 68, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017 at Virginia Mason Hospital in Seattle, Washington.

 

The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 4, 2017 at 11am at St. Edward Church (4212 S. Mead. St.). Burial will follow the funeral at Evergreen Washelli (11220 Aurora Ave. N) at 2pm. Viewing will be held Friday, March 3, 2017 at Columbia Funeral Home (4567 Rainier Ave. S.) from 1-5pm.

 

Norma was born to Onofre Suba and Maxima Mamucod on March 30, 1948 in Dau, Pampanga, Philippines. She grew up in a large family with four brothers and five sisters. She earned her Bachelor of Business Administration at The University of the East in 1968.

 

Norma married Maurice Ramos on January 3, 1977 in Quezon City, Philippines and moved to Seattle in December of that year. She was a devoted wife and proud mother of two children, Naomi and Marc. She focused her time and attention to her family, making sure that they were taken care of at all times and that they were successful in all their endeavors.

 

Beyond her family life, Norma was known for being a warm and loving friend and neighbor. She welcomed everyone to her home with open arms and made sure that everyone had a chance to try out her home cooked Filipino meals. She was an exemplary cook and was always making dishes to share.

 

Norma was preceded in death by her brothers, Ernie and Ray, and her sister Tessie. She is survived by her husband, her two children, her brothers, Peding and Jun, and her sisters, Lota, Lily, Minda, and May.  

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her name to either the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.

 

Norma will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
