Betty Bowes Obituary

Betty Jane Bowes, 94, of Seattle, passed away peacefully of natural causes on May 9, 2018. Born and raised in St. Paul, MN., she was much beloved by all who knew her. Moving to Seattle to begin a nursing career, Betty served as a longtime nurse at Harbor View Medical Center. Betty was an talented artist and avid animal lover and supported many shelters. Betty also supported many charitable organizations worldwide, feeling the need to help others. She is preceded in death by her mother Althea Bowes Follett; father Frank Frederick Bowes; brother Frank Thomas Bowes; and step father Don K. Follett. She is survived by nieces Claudia VanZyck and Christine Canton, Miami, FL., Constance Postal, St. Louis, MO., Cynthia Galvin, Naperville, IL., Catherine Follett, Seattle, Christine Follett, St. Paul; and step brother Don H Follett, St. Paul. Many thanks to the wonderful caregivers of Angels Adult Family Home, Des Moines, WA. for their dedication and loving care. She will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Private burial on May 14th.
