James Leonard Eagle, (Jim), born in Seattle, grew up in the strong Wallingford Catholic community of St. Benedict grade school and Bishop Blanchet High School. Jim graduated from the University of Washington in business. He enjoyed working at Nordstrom’s for much of his career, eventually becoming store manager. He also worked in retail and real estate. Jim, an enthusiastic storyteller, could always make people laugh! An avid sports enthusiast, he followed our Seattle professional sports teams, especially the Mariners, closely and would express his opinions freely. He was a runner and a cyclist. He was a passionate man with a generous heart to help family, friends, co-workers, and the community, especially, in their need. He was a devoted father to his sons, Patrick and Matthew Eagle. In addition to his sons, he is survived by his ex-wife, Roxy Eagle. Jim was always proud to be one of thirteen siblings: Gene (Rosie), Mary Ellen, Jerry, Patty Jean EagleCruz (Tony), John (Sandi), Joseph (Diane), Tom (Ann), Dan (Kim), Mike (Jane), Marie Riley (Sean), Lou (Amy) and Paul and a large extended family.
The vigil/viewing will be at Columbia Funeral Home, Seattle, at 5:00 pm on 12/ 4/22. The funeral Mass will be 12/7/22, 10:30 am at St. George Catholic Church, Seattle. The interment will be at Holyrood Cemetery in Shoreline, 12/7/22, 3:00 pm.
