A self-made super woman, Sharalyn Ferrel, 74 years young, was a life blessing to the world. A 1967 West Seattle Grad who went onto Occidental College and WSU, where she was president of Chi-Omega. After college, Sharalyn embarked on a 15-year banking career at WaMu and started her family in the process.
Never idle, she got her passport at 50 and filled every page. From Chiapas adventures with her adoring girlfriends, the YaYas, to Habitat builds with her future partner Jack, Sharalyn never stopped seizing the day and touching the lives of those around her with kindness.
When she wasn’t traveling the world, she was a real estate matchmaker extraordinaire, finding families’ dream homes for 32 years and enjoying adventures in Palm Springs. Art, design, whimsical oddities - nothing escaped this stylish queen’s keen vision. A wildly creative green thumb, she could turn a desolate patch into an inspired oasis. Winner of Seattle Times’ Best Garden and featured in Better Homes and Gardens magazine.
Sharalyn fought a seven-year stoic battle with a rare form of cancer, until she passed peacefully on July 26th overlooking her garden. Adored by her life partner in all things – Jack Estep, her daughter Brittany (Steve), and son Turner. She is reunited with her parents Frank & Betty and brother Craig. We love you Mom!
