Arlene Joy, known to many as  “AJ”, 46 years old, of Kent, Washington, joined her Creator peacefully at 3:00 AM January 12, 2017, with family by her side.

Born November 6, 1970 in Baguio City, Philippines to Florenia F. Bautista and Diosdado R. Bautista (both deceased). She has been a resident of the  Kent/Renton  area,  in the great state of Washington, for the last 7 years.  An Alumni of St. Louis University, Baguio City, Philippines, she earned a Degree of Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology and passed the Philippine Board Examinations for Registered Medical Technologists. She obtained credits toward her Masters degree in Biology also at Saint Louis University. Upon arrival in the United States, she obtained a Medical Assistant Diploma at Everest College – Renton.

AJ's professional career include: Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Allergy Specialist, and Certified X-Ray Technician at Sound Internal Medicine in Federal Way, Washington. Worked at Kiddie Planet Montessori as preschool Teacher in Jakarta, Indonesia for 7 years. Oftentimes pursued her love of photography as a freelance Professional Photographer no matter where in the world she may have been.

“AJ” is the youngest of four children.

“Babes” as she was also fondly called, will be lovingly missed by her siblings:  Joseph Arnold (Editha) - Manila, Philippines; Angelito Joseph (Rustina) - Oceanside, California; Anthony Alexander - Kent Washington, by her  nephews and nieces Franz Hussein & Keisha Marriame of Quezon City, Philippines, and John Joseph & James Michael of Oceanside, California, by many aunties, uncles, cousins, and all  relatives around the world.

She will also be dearly missed by her adopted  family  Christina Maureen Hilliard and children Adrian, Amira, and Abby Roldan ; Shirley Lallana  Cabatu; Josh Arambulo; and Manong David Edman and family; as well as by  classmates, friends and colleagues. Last but not the least, by her loving pets Shaggy, Shadow, Coco, and Cinnamon.
