Athen Nguyen

Athen Nguyen, of Seattle, passed away on January 2, 2017 at the age of 22.

He was born July 8,1994 in San Jose, California to his loving mother, Hue Tran and father, Chanh Nghia Nguyen. In addition to his beloved parents, Athen is survived by his

girlfriend, Christine Dang; sister, Nancy Tran; brother, Jonathan Tran as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Athen graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor in Economics and Political Science. He enjoyed writing, reading, traveling, photography and skating and was always striving to make the world a better place

Friends may visit at Columbia Funeral Home 4567 Rainier Ave So. Seattle,  on Friday, Jan. 6, from 5-8 pm.

A Buddhist prayer service will be held at Columbia Funeral Home 4567 Rainier Ave So. Seattle, on Saturday Jan. 7, 2017 starting at 11am. Services will conclude at 3pm.  

Memorials in Athen's name can be made to; Liberty in North Korea, a nonprofit that supports North Korean refugees by resettling the in the US or South Korea. (http://www.libertyinnorthkorea.org/)
