Bridget Patricia Lunning (McGuane) passed away peacefully on February 5th 2017 in Seattle, Washington at the age of 74.

She is survived by a large and loving family including her husband Dennis, her children Patrick, Tracy, Shane, Michael and Matthew, her sister Mary (Seattle), brother Patrick (Olympia) and siblings Alice, Kitty, Stephen, Jack, Helen, Patricia and Michael (Ireland). She is preceded in death by her brother Martin (Ireland).

Bridget was born on May 20, 1942 in Limerick City, Ireland to Patrick and Bridget McGuane. After immigrating to the United States she eventually found her way to Seattle where she met Dennis, her husband of 48 years. No stranger to hard work, she worked tirelessly to help provide for her family. Her passion for the Catholic Church eventually led her to St Paul in Seattle where she became an active parishioner, working for the school and parish for many years. She enjoyed working with the St Paul community, especially the clergy, many of whom she formed life long friendships with. Often working behind the scenes, she helped countless people with her generosity and kindness. With a soft spot for children, her motherly Irish personality helped shepherd many a youth at the school.

She absolutely cherished her grandchildren. Caylah, Rowan, Ben, Davis, Grayson, Shayla and Colin meant the world to her. She always encouraged them to be the best version of themselves no matter what they were doing. She loved to spoil them with treats and small gifts when their parents weren’t looking.

A funeral mass is scheduled for 10:00am, Saturday, February 11, 2017 at St. Paul Catholic Church 10001 57th Ave S Seattle, WA 98178. A rosary will be held before mass at 9:30am for anyone interested. Reception immediately following the mass. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bridget’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in honor of Bridget to St. Paul Catholic Church at 5600 S.
