Dolores Ione Amatuzio Merriman, 87, passed away November 25, 2019 peacefully in her home on Lake Washington in Seattle, Washington.

Dolores was born December 22, 1931 in Brainerd, Minnesota. She dedicated her life to love and care for her children and family, welcoming biological, foster and adopted children into her heart and home. She graduated from Cathedral High School in 1950 with honors and academic recognition. She worked for some time as a paralegal, but her true vocation in life was being a mother. She is survived by sons Kevin and Steve Amatuzio, daughter Larisa Merriman, sisters Noreen Begordis and Kathleen Anunti, brother LeRoy Schiel, and granddaughters Krista and Sara Amatuzio.

Dolores loved dancing and skating and joined the Roller Skating Association of America at the age of 40 and competed and medaled in Dance and Figure Skating Championships at the state, regional and national levels. She found great joy in dance and skating and sharing that joy with those around her.

Dolores will be remembered for her firecracker spirit and loving heart.
