Grace Evelyn (Hunter) McAlpin

Grace Evelyn McAlpin passed away on September 29, 2018, at age 74 . She resided in Seattle, Washington, and was born February 20, 1944. Her Maiden Name was Hunter, and she was full blooded Makah. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and sister. Preceded by son Frank. Survived by her son Monty; Daughter Glynis; Grandkids Justin,Jeremy, Eddie, Patricio; Siblings Hotshot(Melvin), Glen, Mary.  She was an avid reader to seniors, as well as an activist - she participated in occupation of Fort Lawton which ultimately led to the creation of Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center where her grandson Justin went to preschool. She was also a foster parent to 26+ kids.
