On Tuesday, January 8, 2019, Jenny Truong, loving daughter and sister, passed away at age 39.
Jenny was born on September 14, 1979 at Lai Thieu, Vietnam. She is the youngest sister in a family of 5 siblings. She was a loving aunt of the 7 nephews and nieces; especially, a mother like to one of her nephews, Timothy Truong. She came to Seattle on August 3, 1992.
Jenny had a passion in fishing. She also loved to travel, outdoor activities, and the nature. She combined her hobbies and photography talented to take many beautiful pictures for friends. She was known for her kind and compassionate spirit.
In her last eight year of life, instead of partying and be wild; she lived a life of a Buddhist spirit. Her Dharma’s name is Trung Phap which means dharma enlightenment. She volunteered at many Vietnamese Buddhist temples, especially Co Lam Temple. She actively helped the sangha on every Buddhist event at the Co Lam temple. She was well known at the “Bánh Xèo” stall at the temple. She loved to do donation; especially to many unfortunates lives in Vietnam and third world countries. She practiced her compassion by life release which is a traditional Buddhist practice of saving the lives of being that were destined for slaughter. Every month, she released turtle and sent money to Vietnam for the mercy act.
Through Jenny’s lifetime, she had fulfilled every moment in life. In a family, she was a dutiful daughter, a great little sister and especially a fantastic aunt. She was a second mother to the nephews and nieces. At work, she’s a responsible employee and a coworker. She always tried hard to help others and never say no when someone ask for her help.
