June Kimiko Hino

June Kimiko Hino, of Renton, WA passed away peacefully in her sleep on August,6,2017 in hospice care at Merrill Gardens of Renton, WA. She was 97.

June was born October 21,1919 in Cut Bank, Montana to Tom Jitsujiro and Mary Tatsu Imai Kurokawa of Wolf Point, Montana.

She was the eldest of six siblings, she is survived by her sister Norma Harada of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and her brother Art Kurokawa of Wolf Point, Montana. She was preceded in death by her brothers Grant, Jim, and Leonard Kurokawa.

June grew up in Montana and graduated from Wolf Point High School on May 28,1937

June was married to Frank Hino from 1947 to 1969. They had three children: Charlene, Terry, and Norma.

June worked at her parents' Montana restaurant before going on an adventure in Chicago with her friend, Mary. There she met Frank and they were married in 1947. They had their first two children Charlene and Terry, in Chicago. In 1951, they moved to Seattle, WA where they had their third child, Norma. June and the family lived on Beacon Hill for many years, then moved to Columbia City in 1968. June and her cat, Bubba moved to Merrill Gardens of Renton in 2006.

While raising her children, she worked very hard in various jobs to support her family, including waitressing at Canlis Restaurant, and selling merchandise at the Seattle World's Fair in 1962. She worked for many years as a seamstress for a couple of clothing manufacturers up until her retirement.

Everywhere she went people were always commenting on her beautiful crown of gray hair. It was very common for people to say that she was the most lovable lady they have ever met. She always had a smile on her face. Her caregivers say she was one of the nicest and sweetest residence, and they all agree that it was a pleasure to be her caregiver.

After retirement, June enjoyed her time doing crossword puzzles, reading, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and collecting miniatures. She spent her time with her grandchildren and family and made fond memories of trips to Hawaii, Montana, Arizona, Oregon, Florida, Yellowstone National park in Wyoming, and Canada. She loved the many cats she's had over the years, but she was especially fond of Amy.

June was a quiet and private person who was greatly loved by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as G.G. We will all miss her greatly.

Jane is survived by her three children:
Charlene Neuss and her husband Paul, Terry Hino and his wife Maxine, and Norma Schlegel.

Her eight grandchildren: Darleen Ellsworth and her husband Daniel, David Neuss and his wife Heidi, Tina Sotelo and her husband Pete, Travis Schegel and his wife Michelle, Brent Schegel and his wife Stephanie, Mick Schlegel and his wife Samantha, Elaine Hino, and Lisa Amouroux and her husband Nathan.

Her ten Great-Grandchildren: Tony Heinz, Tyler Heinz, Tanner Heinz, Jonah Neuss, Hayden Neuss, Giorgio Jimenez, Malino Schlegel, Isaiha Pancho, and Bryce Amouroux.

and her three Great-Great Grandchildren: Aiden Heinz, Hiro Heinz, and Sailor Mae Heinz.
