Lucia Malaspina

Lucia passed away on June 15, 2017 at the age of 83. She was born on December 27, 1933 in Italy & was the second of three children born to Giovanni and Antoinette Patricelli.

Lucia married Guiseppe (Joe) on September 5, 1957. They moved to Seattle, Washington, USA, where they raised their four daughters and became active members of the Italian Community.  She was known for her extraordinary cooking, baking, sewing and knitting which she loved to do for family and friends.
 

Lucia was an amazing mother to four girls, grandmother to ten grandchildren and a loving great-grandmother to two.

Lucia was preceded in death by her husband, Salvatore (Joe) Malaspina and both brothers, Michael and Joe Patricelli. She is survived by her children Maria Myer and husband Steve, Sun Lakes, AZ; Josephine Reed and husband Markus, Buckley, WA; Giovanna Malaspina, Scottsdale, AZ; Alida Foley and husband Jim, Seattle, WA; ten grandchildren Amanda, Michelle, Katrina, Tonia (Maria), Quinn, Makenzie, Alyssa (Josephine), Angelica (Giovanna), and Ryan, Monica (Alida), and two great-grandchildren, Santos and Skyler. 

Rosary at 9:00 a.m. followed by Mass at 10:00 on Friday, June 23, 2017, at Our Lady of Mount Virgin Church.
