Maria Tabora Obituary

Maria "Marilee" Tabora

Maria Milagros Limbo Tabora went to be with Our Lord surrounded by family on June 30, 2018, due to complications after an amazing 8 year battle with Stage 4 Multiple Myeloma cancer. She was a glorious 67 years old.

Known to her friends as "Marilee", she was born on November 15, 1950 to Lourdes and Godofredo Limbo in the town of Manila in the Philippines. She went to St. Paul's college where she graduated with a BS in Psychology. She then married Juanito (John) Tabora in 1974 and immigrated to Vancouver, BC, Canada and  gave birth her first child, daughter, Joanna in 1975. In 1984 she gave birth to her second child, son, Justin. The family then proceeded to move to Kent, Washington in 1989. She worked in Human Resources at SeaTac Airport, did seasonal work with the US Census and was also employed as a Bank Teller at Bank of America. She was well loved by her co-workers and was very diligent with her work.

Marilee was an incredibly resilient, strong and selfless woman. A cherished friend and devoted Catholic, she lived up to her middle name which translates to "miracles.” She organized countless religious pilgrimages, prayer groups and excursions in the name of the Lord and Mother Mary. She was very thoughtful and always sent mass cards and greeting cards to loved ones on their birthdays and holidays every year! She wanted to be remembered as a great mother, a wonderful friend and dedicated wife.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joanna and Isaac Dyckhoff, Son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Brittney Tabora, and two beloved grandchildren Rafael and Delano Dyckhoff.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate perpetual mass cards and contributions to the family. Contact Marilee's daughter, Joanna Dyckhoff at jojo@bamboobeats.com.
