Ruth Katherine McClure, 91 of Renton, Washington went into eternal rest with our Lord Jesus Christ on December 17, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald S McClure and her grandson Marty Aumick. Ruth left a large family legacy. Sandra Jones, her daughter, of SeaTac, WA, son Donnie McClure and wife Karen of Buckeye, AZ, son Brad McClure and wife Connie of Renton, WA, and son Doug McClure of Ocean Shores, WA.
Ruth left six grandchildren, Becky, Jeff, Josh, Mandy, Abrem and Laura, twelve great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
Ruth was one of six daughters born to Frank and Elsie O'Donnell on January 8, 1928, in Pennsylvania. As young parents, Don and Ruth moved to the Seattle area in 1962 and settled in Columbia City. Ruth began her long career with the City of Seattle, retiring as the accounting supervisor. Upon her retirement, Ruth moved to Fairwood, Renton, WA and was able to give more time to the things she loved doing like gardening and spending time with her family. She was active in the local garden club and spent many hours working in her yard and taking Irish, her german Sheppard on long walks. In addition to 'shopping with the girls', some of Ruth's favorite activities were playing bingo, scrabble and planning numerous family gatherings.
Ruth was a lovely person and she will be greatly missed by all.
