Mary Anne (Pastro) Gee

Mary Anne was born to Emily and Eugene Pastro in Seattle. She was the fourth of seven children.

Mary Anne went to St. John Grade School and Blanchet High School. Right after high school, she joined the Frontier Apostolate missionary program and went to work in British Columbia with the indigenous people for one year. When she returned from Canada, Mary Anne went to North Seattle Community College and received her Associate of Arts degree. She later received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy at the University of Washington.

Mary Anne enjoyed music. She played the piano and guitar and sang in various choirs. She loved working puzzles, playing games, and watching the Hallmark channel. She reveled in visiting with family and friends, seeking them out often. Animals provided yet another pass time for Mary Anne, and she had a special devotion to St. Francis and the rosary. She worked as a paralegal for a local law firm, where she was dedicated and valued. In 1996, she gave birth to Alison, the apple of her eye and the love of her life. She was a loving mother and a beloved sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend. She will be sorely missed.

We would like to thank her caregivers at Foss Home and Village, where Mary Anne lived for the past eleven years. We would also like to thank Northwest Hospital for the exceptional care they provided during her stays there,

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 7th, 11 AM, at St. John the Evangelist Parish in Seattle (7916 - 1st Ave NW).
