IN LOVING MEMORY
Aida Lucido Mallare, age 86 passed away peacefully on May 7, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.
She touched many people with her kindness, compassion, and generous heart. She had a smile that brightened the room and a laugh that would lift your spirits.
Born in the Philippines, she received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and became a teacher. She moved to Seattle in the 1970s and her natural artistic talents were used as a seamstress working for companies who appreciated her meticulous care to detail.
A talented artist, Aida loved to create. She loved to draw, paint and made personalized cards and gifts for birthdays and special occasions. As a seamstress, her creations were much like her; personal, comforting and full of love. She will be truly missed.
She is survived by her sisters Oliva Ilago and Patria (Paterno) Pascua. Her nieces, Lourdelyn Ilago, Lilian (Marvin) Pedernal, Janice (Romir) Jimenez and Melissa (Brian) Dowd. She is also survived by her numerous grand-nieces, grand-nephews and cousins.
There will be a viewing on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the Columbia Funeral Home from 3 pm – 7 pm. Rosary will begin at 5:00 pm.
On Friday, May 20, 2022, there will be a Mass at St. Paul Parish at 10:30 am.
Burial at Greenwood Memorial Park in Renton will take place on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 10 am.
