Anthony A. Trippy, those who knew him called him Pa, Tony, or Coach Trippy, was born December 14th, 1939 and passed away March 24th, 2020. He grew up in the Beacon Hill area of Seattle and lived in the Seattle area his whole life.
He is survived by Three Sons: Tony, Joseph, & Gino Trippy.
Six Grandsons: Dominico, Romany, Joseph, Luke, Jacob & Gino Trippy.
Two Granddaughters: Tessa & Emery Trippy.
He attended grade school at Mt. Virgin. From there he went on to graduate from Seattle Prep High School in 1957, where he was a star football and baseball player.
He then served in the Army for 4 years before joining the police and becoming the Police Chief of Carnation, Washington.
Next, he went on to work many years at Schering-Plough as a salesman before retiring. He then soon got into being a bus driver for the past 25 years, where he worked until his passing. He was very proud that he never missed a day of work over the last 25 years.
He coached all three sons, Tony, Joseph, and Gino in Baseball, Basketball, and Soccer from an early age, until they reached high school. He touched and paved the lives of many kids all over the city, especially in Beacon Hill, Rainier Valley, and Central District areas.
Pa was very proud of our Italian Catholic Heritage, and his world rotated around his family and Notre Dame Football.
Pa will be missed greatly and loved forever!
There will be a celebration of Pa’s life that will be scheduled after the risk posed by the pandemic subsides.
