Barbara C. Moeller

On Friday, May 5th, 2023, Barbara C. Moeller (Schober), loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 69 in her home in Seattle after a long battle with heart disease.

Barbara was born on September 24th, 1953, to Robert and Dorothy Schober while Robert was stationed at Fort Sill, OK.  She graduated from Mercer Island high school in 1972, then went on to study at Western Washington University. On October 23rd, 1976, she married Rudolf Moeller, together they raised a son, Jacob, and doted on their only grandchild, Madelyn.

Barbara loved the outdoors, but her favorite spot was the Oregon Coast.  She enjoyed volunteering in her community, particularly with Little League Baseball.  She was also a passionate Mariners fan.  She was known for her outgoing personality, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit.

Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Robert, and her mother, Dorothy.  She is survived by her husband, Rudolf, their son Jacob and his wife Melody, and their daughter Madelyn, as well as siblings William Schober, Karen Schober, Jane Stanbury and Neil Schober, along with a loving group of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 19th, 2023, at St. Edwards Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. (4205 S. Orcas St., Seattle, WA).  A luncheon will follow at the Lakewood Seward Park Community Club (4916 S. Angeline St., Seattle, WA).  In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to Providence Hospice of Seattle.
