Ceri Walker

June 26, 1955 ~ May 17, 2022 (age 66)

Born in Plymouth, UK, as a teenager Ceri moved to London and always identified as a Londoner.

She studied classics (Latin and Greek) at the University of Bristol, UK and after graduation worked for several years in the antiquities market. She then qualified as a chartered surveyor and spent the rest of her working life in commercial real estate. In 2005 she moved from London to Olympia, Washington where she joined the real estate department of the Washington State Investment Board, retiring in fall 2021.

Ceri traveled widely for both work and pleasure, visiting countries all over Europe, South America, the Middle East, and Asia. She loved white-water rafting and once took her father on a trip down the Colorado River. She was a gourmet cook and a connoisseur of classical ballet, fantasy fiction, and lowbrow TV.

Ceri was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Patricia Walker, and her brother David Walker. She is survived by her brother William Walker and eight nephews and nieces: Charlie, Andrew, Camille, Olivia, Lilly, Harvey, Bianca, and Anais.

Dearly loved by family, friends, and colleagues, Ceri leaves warm memories in many hearts.
