Charles Edward Farrell was born February 4, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan to Charles Wilson Farrell and Loretta Leinen Farrell. He was the fifth of nine children. He died on January 10, 2022 of sudden heart failure in Bellevue, Washington.
He graduated from Grand Valley State University with a business finance degree.
He worked for the Department of Defense as a budget analyst in El Segundo, California, but decided to work in nutritional sales and built a profitable business for himself over 35 years.
Charlie was a natural athlete. He enjoyed motocross and mountain bike racing, windsurfing, sailing, snow skiing and played a great game of tennis. He ran the 25 mile LA Marathon three times and a 50 mile race to celebrate turning 50. He traveled the United States and Europe for his business and had many friends from all over.
He was energetic, hard -working, outgoing, opinionated and funny. Always ready to help. He loved dogs, especially his golden retriever Carly, who went with him everywhere. She preceded him in death last June.
Charlie is survived by a big loving family of two brothers, six sisters, four brothers- in-law, 15 nieces and nephews and 27 grand nieces and nephews. He really enjoyed being with everyone, but especially the littlest ones who just loved him so much.
Funeral plans somewhat uncertain due to COVID, but we are hoping for the end of January. He will be buried in Phoenix, Arizona very near the grave of his mother and father.
God bless you, Charlie! We miss you so much.
