Derik Herring Obituary

On Saturday, October 15, 2022, Derik Lee Herring’s bright light dimmed as he passed at age 50. Beloved husband, son, brother and friend. He was born in Bellevue to Leonard and Gerdina Herring. After graduating from Newport High School, he spent time in Phoenix, Arizona, and later in Prague, Czech Republic, but mainly lived in the Seattle area. A talented musician, he played in numerous local bands including Liquid Zoo, Stumbleliene, Falling Among Bandits, and Projections On A Wall. He met his wife Elenya in 2007 and they were married in 2016. His infectious laugh and kind spirit will be missed by his many friends and loved ones. He leaves behind a wife, parents, sister Denise (Dave), and brother Darin (Stacy), as well as 6 nieces and nephews. Burial will be at Lake View Cemetery in Seattle.
