Donata Dalere Juan
The lord called her home January 27, 2020 after a brief battle with cholangiocarcinoma. She was at peace at the time of her passing and was surrounded by family and friends.
Born February 18, 1940 in Paddig, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. She was proceeded in death by her loving husband Johnny Manuel Juan. She is survived by her two sons Johnny and Artimeo with his wife Megan Juan. She has 6 grandchildren that she loved so much, Payton, Leila, Jadrian, Julian, Eva and Jovian Juan.
She was the second youngest out of 8 children. She grew up in Pallas and attend the local school there. Her teenage years was spent helping her mother with daily chores. At 18 years old she moved to Manila with her older sister and her family. In Manila she worked as a domestic helper until 1969 where she moved to the United states after being Petitioned by her older sister. Once here she attended Seattle community college in the fall of 1969. In the same year she was introduced to Johnny Manuel Juan who eventually captured her heart. On November 29, 1969 they married. Soon after she moved to Seattle where they began their life together. On December 17, 1970 they welcomed their son Johnny. Three years later, on September 6, 1973 they welcomed their son Artimeo. She stayed home to raise their children until she joined the workforce in 1986. Her first job in the united states was at The Greenwood Inn Hotel in Bellevue Washington. She worked as a housekeeper there for a few years. She found another job along with another coworker at Inn at The Market in Pike Place. Where she worked as a housekeeper as well. She finally retired in 2013. She was very devoted to taking care of her grandchildren and making sure they felt her love as well as others that enter her home. She will be forever loved in each of our lives…
