Estela Cavero Cabico at the age of 96, died peacefully December 31, 2022 in her home due to heart failure caused by aortic valve stenosis. She was born July 30, 1926, in Urdaneta, Pangasinan, Philippines, daughter of the late Segundo and Paula Cavero.
Estela was the only one out of her siblings to go to college and earn a Bachelor of Science in Education at the University of the Philippines. On Christmas day, December 25, 1959, she married Fermin Cabico who preceded her in death in 2017. She migrated to Seattle, WA with her 2 daughters on 1974 to be with her husband. Estela loves to cook, garden, crochet and sew. She sewed most of the clothes she wears.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by 7 siblings, Galsing, Gregoria, Basilisa, Severino, Pedro, Anna and Gilberto; 2 step brothers, Ibaresto and Manuel Cordero, and son-in-law Sito Dalit. She is the last out of her siblings to pass away.
Estela is survived by her 2 daughters Estelita Dalit and Cynthia Gonzales and her husband, Leonard Gonzales; 2 adopted sons Mar Cabico and Louie Cabico; 4 grandchildren Peter Dalit, Jordan Gonzales, Jazmyn Gonzales and Jett Gonzales; great grandchild Kainani Joy Gonzales; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. All of these she loved and touched deeply.
Visitation will be held at Columbia Funeral Home from 1-5 pm on Friday, January 20, 2023.
