Felie Don Lagazo Obituary

Felie Don Arsitio Lagazo of Seattle, WA passed away on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at the age of 61. After a courageous battle with Osteosarcoma, Felie passed away peacefully at his home with his wife Victoria and daughter Katriel by his side, along with other extended members of his family.

Felie was born in Seattle on April 14, 1960, to the late Domingo Malapira Lagazo and mother Constancia Garan Arsitio Lagazo. He was the oldest of three siblings and grew up in the Seattle area with his sister, Connie and brother John. Felie graduated from Queen Anne High School in 1978 and continued his education at The University of Washington. He worked at King County Metro for 29 years, the Seattle Times for 25 years, St. Anthony School in Renton for 9 years and finally at Kennedy Catholic High School in Burien for 6 years, before retiring in 2020.

Felie met the love of his life, Victoria while they were children and married in June 1991. In their thirty years of marriage, they had one daughter, Katriel Aguinaldo-Lagazo born in October 1999 who is currently attending college at Seattle Pacific University.

While known for many things, Felie was mostly known for his kindness, generosity, and strong faith. He never missed an opportunity to volunteer at one of his daughter’s school events, food banks like Northwest Harvest, refereeing a basketball game, or being an active member of his church, St. Anthony Catholic Parish along-side his wife and daughter. He was also a member of the Filipino American Community of St. Anthony, served on the school’s Filipino Commission from 2012-2016 and became President of Barrio Fiesta. Outside of St. Anthony, he was also a member of the Filipiniana Dance Company for 30 years.

In addition, Felie also loved to travel, play sports, and shared his adventurous side with friends and family. While he enjoyed giving back to the community, he also loved a quiet evening with his wife and daughter at home, watching any James Bond movie they could find. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to him. His outgoing personality and contagious smile was evident to everyone he had crossed paths with.  Although gone, Felie’s presence will always be with his friends and family as they continue to honor his legacy.
