Florenda “Flor” Legaspi Echon was called to eternal rest on Friday, February 11, 2022, at the age of 77.
Flor was born in Manila, Philippines, on July 29, 1944. She immigrated to Guam with her husband, Elson, in 1969, where they lived until they moved to Seattle in 2015.
Flor loved spending time with her family. She was funny, witty, and had the most infectious laugh. Flor loved visiting gardens and being surrounded by flowers. She was incredibly generous, kind, and took pride in taking care of others. She enjoyed travelling, cooking, and shopping with her sisters. She made friends everywhere she went, many of whom she met during her thirty+ years working for Guam Insurance Adjusters. Flor never missed a celebration and would light up a room. She had a strong spirit, and never gave up. Flor was a woman of faith with a big heart. She loved her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters, in-laws, relatives, and friends, and most of all she was very much in love with her husband Elson who predeceased her and to whom she was married for over 50 years.
There was nothing more Flor savored than spending time with all those she loved.
Flor is survived by her daughters: Irene, Rita, and Emmeline; grandchildren: Sheridan, Sabine, Luka, and Mila; siblings: Erlinda, Wilfredo, Imelda, and husband Rudy, Adelaida, Ging and husband Richard; in-laws: Amparo, Concordia, Helena, Orlina, Novina, Manuel and wife Cathy, Asiatica and husband Rodolfo, Rosalinda, and husband Pete, Islanda and husband Herman, and Aniceta.
