Irvin Harris

On Monday, May 15th, Irvin Edward Harris Sr. (known to most as just Harris) passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. He is finally at peace so please keep his memory close in your mind and spirit.

Born August 14th, 1943 in Elma, Washington, he and his family moved to Arkansas.  From Arkansas he moved to Texas to serve in the army-air force from 1962 to 1968 where he learned his craft in commercial refrigeration.  After completing the service, he moved to Issaquah, Washington where he drove school buses part-time while growing his refrigeration business. He created Harris Refrigeration and years later Mobile Cooler Rentals, inc spanning 50+ years.

His interests were very diverse from hunting with longbows, rifles, and muzzeloaders, to flying small planes, designing longbows and making arrows by hand, to perfecting his pool game. He liked relaxing with family, friends, and extended families over a good BBQ, dim sum, and/or ball games...always with a cold Bud close by. He loved the horse races at Longacres and later Emerald Down.  He found joy being surrounded by his children, grand children and great grandkids, talking politics was an interest he enjoyed with anyone willing to jump in with an opinion.

He is preceded in death by his father, George Harris, his mother Irma (Betty) Harris, and his brother Earl Harris. 

He is survived by his wife, Dung (Tamie) Harris, and her children: Tam (Tim) Nguyen, daughter Ariana and son Bryan, and Dung’s youngest son, Linh Nguyen. 

He is also survived by his sister Teresa Arnold (Clyde).

He is also survived by his children from previous marriages: daughter Tamantha (Tamie) Harris, son Irvin Jr. (Ed) Harris,  - daughter Carly Adams and daughter Mindy Harris.

Grand children: Kelly Juntunen, Tori Ha, Nicholas Harris, Alex Harris, Cole Adams and Troy Adams
