Jeffree Edmundson (Ward) Obituary

Jeffree Edmundson (Ward) was born in Portland, Oregon to the union of Atron Ward Sr and Jessie Mazique on April 16, 1952. At a young age, the family moved to Seattle, WA. Jeffree attended Meany Junior High, Garfield High School, and Seattle Central Community College, where she received her GED. Jeffree continued her education and became a dental assistant Washington Dental Clinic. She then attended Renton Vocational School, where she received her certification as a machinist and obtaining a job at Boeing, where she retired.

In 1983, Jeffree married Robert Wasp. They had a special love until his death in 1995. In 2000, she married Robert Edmundson. They remained married until his death in 2008. Both were great men who loved her unconditionally and accepted her daughters as their own. She missed them both tremendously.

During her many careers, Jeffree was also a well-known bartender. She managed the bar at Gene’s Place, Thompsons Point of View, and Rose Pedal. She was cherished and loved by her many customers over the years. Jeffree had a unique sense of humor that she dispensed with every drink she served. Always the entrepreneur, Jeffree opened a boutique, Fine Leather Botikue, where she sold designer handbags, shoes, accessories and other unique merchandise.

Jeffree lived her life, "unapologetically", by her own standards. She was very loving, giving, and loyal. She was selfless and would give you the shirt off her back. Jeffree was no nonsense and could be fierce when she needed to be. She knew how to dress, from the hat all the way down to the shoes! She loved to cook and host holiday gatherings. She always enjoyed telling stories, especially of growing up back in the day. She was always a voice of encouragement to those around her. She loved her daughters and grandkids, and would always speak encouraging words. She was very happy with their accomplishments.

Jeffree was called home on October 6, 2021, after a short battle with cancer. She fought hard, but God wanted her home.

Jeffree is survived by three daughters: Shaunette Wilson, Angel Stewart-Letterlough (Everett), Denise Franklin, seven Grandchildren: Shataya, Erica, Deonte (Jennifer), Kierra, Shatoya, DeWayne, Porsche, four Great-granchildren: NaJar, Zy’Aunna, Ja’Niyah, Murrell III, six siblings: Deloris BriscoeRay (Willie), Mary Britt, Sandra Ward, Atron Ward Jr (Carol), Melvia Wilson and Katie Ward-Duckett (Jimmie), one uncle: Freddie Mazique (Louella), and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Jeffree is proceeded in death by her parents Atron Ward, Sr. and Jessie Ward Signal, as well her two loving husbands, Robert Wasp and Robert Edmundson.
