Linda Misako Jinka

Linda M. Jinka was called home on Thursday January 21st, 2021 at the age of 74, with her three children by her side.  Linda, affectionately known as Linko, Auntie Nina and Ninda was born on November 8th, 1946 to Satoshi and Ayako Jinka.  She was a Seattle native who graduated from Garfield High School in 1965.

Anyone that knew Linda would say that she was not a conventional person.  She lived her life her way, took chances and didn't really care what other people thought about her or what she did.  She lived her life according to her rules.  She loved without judgement, unconditionally and wanted you to come as you were.  Linda opened her doors to any and all who were in need.  

She called the Columbia City area her home for over four decades.  She was well known and liked in her neighborhood and would often be seen walking her Akitas or sunbathing and working in her yard.  She was extremely creative and enjoyed sewing one of a kind clothing, stuffed bears and blankets that she loved to give out as gifts to family and friends.  She was truly one of a kind and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Linda is survived by her children Brian, Jodi and Nina.  Her grandchildren Keyara, Keyala, Brianti, Brian II, Martina, Saigon, Kayla, Kameron, Kamiko, Kamilah, Karmelo and Bubba.  Her siblings Willie, Marsha, Donna and Janie and a host of nieces and nephews.  Her memory will live on forever in our hearts.

Due to Covid regulations the viewing will be private but the family plans a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
