Michael Clements Obituary

Michael Clements was born on June 4th ,1972 in Sioux City, Iowa. Soon after, relocated to the Pacific Northwest where he finally called Seattle his home for the rest of his life. Mike attended and graduated from Bothell High school in Bothell Washington.

Mike did not have a wife or children, although he had a serious relationship with his late girlfriend Nay Hogans, who passed away in January of 2022 and Mike passionately loved Nay’s 12-year-old son, Terrance. Mikes mother, Joan Clements and stepfather James Bross were his closest living relatives, and he had several cousins aunts and uncles in other states.

Mike lived independently the last 30 years of his life at Center Park Apartments in Seattle after an accident left him a paraplegic. He got acquainted and made friends with many of the tenants along the way He enjoyed occasional visits to Houston to see his mother and the several times that his mom and James came to see him in Seattle.

Music and movies were a big part of Mike’s life. He enjoyed collecting vinyl records and cassette tapes. He also had a very extensive collection of DVD movies, and he also enjoyed a wide variety of music.

Family and friends describe Michael as a kind and gentle young man. A fun-loving man. A simple kind of man. Mike was a calm, easy going gentleman with great patience and an uncanny witty sense of humor that many enjoyed. A fun-loving man. A man who deeply loved his mother. He always appreciated that she was there for him in times of need. He loved his whole family and all his friends, far and near.

Although he had a difficult life, including a recent long period of hospitalization, he gracefully met his many obstacles with a positive attitude, no matter how big the challenge. He always had a positive attitude and a smile. Mike has won the hearts of friends and family from Alaska to Florida and all places in between. He will always be remembered, never be forgotten and will always be loved and painfully missed by many.

Mikes favorite baseball team was the Houston Astro's. Two of his favorite bands were The Cure and Nirvana. Mike had a passion for skateboarding in his school years before his accident but continued to enjoy watching other skateboarders at any time. Oh yes, and his favorite fast-food joint in Houston is Whataburger, an exclusive Texas burger eatery!
