Fred Hutch
Michael Allen Savanah was born on July 15, 1954, in Seattle, Washington. He was the second of eight children born to the union of Roosevelt and Alberta Jackson-Savanah.
The Lord called him early Friday morning April 14, 2023.
He wed the former Valerie Thomas on July 19, 1986. They had two daughters Michelle I’loni and Natalie Lynn.
He was baptized at the Madison Park Church of Christ. He served the congregation faithfully until his death. He loved serving God in all aspects. He participated in the worship services and served on the Board of Trustees. He taught Bible classes and was called on to preach & teach at the last minute many times.
He graduated from Roosevelt High School, class of 1972, in Seattle, WA.
Mike was a sportsman. He played basketball. He bowled in several leagues, and he even skied. He loved cooking and traveling.
He worked as an engineer for Boeing for over thirty years. His job took him all around the continent.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two of his brothers, Roosevelt Jr. and John. He is survived by his wife Valerie, daughters Michelle and Natalie, Sisters Janet (Mike) & Mary brothers, George, David (Glenda), Christopher, Carl, and many relatives and friends.
