Giovannina Ricciardi Angelotti (Nina)
December 11, 1928 - July 8, 2023 (age 94)
On Saturday, July 8th, 2023, Nina passed away peacefully at Quail Park in West Seattle. She
was 94 years old.
Nina was born in the small village of San Marco la Catola, in the Province of Foggia, in the
Apulia region of Southeast Italy. She grew up during the Great Depression, as well as World
War II. In 1950 she married Ippolito Angelotti, and they came to America separately by steam
ship one year later. They settled in the Rainier Valley area of Seattle, with an extended Italian
community. Together Nina & Ippolito built a home and raised their family of three daughters;
Angela, JoAnn, and Audrey. She worked as a seamstress for local garment companies such as
Gerry Outdoor Clothing, Outdoor Research and more. Nina enjoyed cooking and baking,
especially making Sunday dinner. She loved spending time with her family. She always had
plenty of Pizzelles and Italian Wedding cookies to share, while conversing over a cup of coffee.
She loved her family very much and she always made you feel welcomed and special.
She is survived by her husband Ippolito, daughters - Angela (Bill) Guest, JoAnn (James)
Froggét, Audrey (Tim) Beyer, seven grandchildren - Kristina (John) Hein, Marla (Jason)
Petronzio, Michele (Josh) Menashe, Paul Guest, Nicolás Froggét, Gabrielle Froggét, Andrew
Beyer and six great grandchildren - Anthony and Matthew Hein, Angelina, Joseph and Gianni
Menashe and Abigail Petronzio.
She is also survived by her sisters Josephine Fascia and Maria Perrone (Italy). She is preceded
in death by her brother Michele Ricciardi.
Service to be held Wednesday, August 2, at Holy Rosary Church, West Seattle.
Funeral Mass at 10:00AM, reception to follow, entombment Calvary Cemetery.
