In Loving Memory of Apolonio (Lolo/Paul/Boy) Pangilinan. Paul, a beloved Husband, Father, Lolo (Grandfather), Great-Lolo and Friend, passed away on May 17, 2023. Paul lived a remarkable life, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and wisdom that will forever be cherished by those who knew him. This obituary seeks to honor his memory and celebrate the extraordinary person he was.
Born on February 9, 1950 in Manila, Philippines. Paul was a man of unwavering integrity and compassion. Paul was a pillar of strength for his family, always providing guidance and support. Paul’s warm smile and gentle nature touched the lives of everyone he encountered, and had a remarkable ability to make people feel seen and valued.
Throughout his life, Paul was known for his dedication to hard work and his commitment to excellence. Paul achieved numerous accomplishments in his careers and especially as the DJ of Retrozone, where his creative mind and exceptional skills garnered him respect from the Filipino community. Yet, Paul remained humble and never hesitated to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Family was at the center of Paul’s world.Paul treasured the time spent with his loved ones. As a Father, Paul instilled in his children the importance of strong family values, perseverance, and the pursuit of knowledge. Paul took great joy in watching them grow into remarkable individuals, always offering unwavering love and guidance. Paul’s famous words of wisdom was “It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice.”
As a Lolo (Grandfather), Paul was a constant source of love and support for his Grandchildren. Paul was delighted in all of their achievements, big or small, and was always there to lend an ear, share a story, or offer words of wisdom. Paul’s presence in their lives will forever be engraved as a source of love, comfort, and inspiration.
Beyond his Family, Paul was deeply involved in his community. Paul generously dedicated his time and efforts to various charitable organizations, always seeking to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Paul’s selflessness and compassionate nature touched the hearts of many, leaving an indelible mark on the community Paul served.
In his free time, Paul enjoyed pursuing his passions and hobbies. Whether it was sailing on a cruise ship, or engaging in thought-provoking conversations, he found solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. Paul’s curiosity and thirst for knowledge were contagious, inspiring those around him to embrace lifelong learning.
Paul’s departure leaves an immense void in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. However, Paul’s memory will forever be cherished and his spirit will live on through the countless lives he touched. We find solace in the beautiful memories we shared and the enduring impact Paul made on our hearts.
