Rosario Calimlim

Rosario (Rose) Peralta Calimlim of Seattle, WA passed away on October 20, 2023 at the age of 61.

Rose was born in Santa Cruz, Marinduque, Philippines on October 14, 1962. She attended National University in Manila, Philippines where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. She later met and married Jovencio Garcia Calimlim and immigrated to the United States in the late 1980s in search of better opportunities to raise their family.

Rose loved her family deeply and was always working hard to take care of her husband, raise her two children, and send care packages to her family back in the Philippines. After Jovencio’s passing in 2014, she spent a lot of her time with family and friends, going on walks through Lincoln Park and Alki Beach in West Seattle and visiting extended family all throughout Washington and Canada.  She also loved planting tulips and roses and camping with her family in the Pacific Northwest.

Rose is survived by her sisters Emma and Precy, her youngest son Jove and his wife Roxanne, and her oldest son Joven and his partner Charlotte. She will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know her.
