Rosemary (Ambrosio) Bradley, our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend peacefully passed away after a long illness on the afternoon of January 27, 2020 at the age of 87 in Des Moines, WA surrounded by her children. She was born on March 3, 1932, in Seattle, WA, the youngest of the four children born to Joseph and Bernice Ambrosio. She spent a happy childhood growing up in the Italian enclave of Rainier Valley known as Garlic Gulch. Rosemary attended elementary school at Our Lady of Mt Virgin Catholic church where she made many lifetime friendships.
She attended high school at Immaculate and Franklin in Seattle, and graduated from Holy Rosary in West Seattle.
In 1950 Rosemary went to work at Sears. She married in 1954 and several years later left work to begin her family. She returned to Sears in the mid-1960's in various roles including the Medical Claims Department and the Employment Office. Over her five years in Employment she hired hundreds of quality employees. She remained with Sears until the catalog plant closed in 1987. From there she went to work at Boeing and retired in 1994.
She was a lifelong parishioner at Mt. Virgin and volunteered in many ministries there. She was an active member of the St. Anne Society, which included many of her childhood friends. Proud of her Italian heritage she had been a member of the Italian Club and West Side Italian Civic Club.
Mom really loved her friends and family. Always willing to help anyone who needed it she would put their needs above her own to make sure they were well taken care of.
