Stella Olivia Yellam Primon May 10, 1923 - April 13, 2023 Stella passed away peacefully at the age of 99. We were just planning her big 100 Birthday Party but she decided to celebrate in heaven with her husband, brother, sister-in-law, mother and father!
Stella spent her childhood living on Beacon Hill and her adult life in Seattle. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Grant Primon, mother Mary Iofredo, stepfather Dominic Iofredo, father Frank Yellam, brother John Yellam, and sister-in-law Mary Danaher Yellam.
In the early 1940’s Grant Primon spotted Stella Yellam at a Sons of Italy dance. Stella’s mother Mary Iofredo (chaperoned the dance) pointed him out and told Stella, he’s handsome, he looks Italian, ask him to dance! Stella and Grant were married in 1942. In 1947, Marilyn, their precious daughter, was born. Stella and Marilyn had many fun adventures. Shopping was a favorite activity for both of them. Stella was exceptionally proud of her daughter and considered Marilyn her best friend. Marilyn’s husband, Dick Gomez, has been an incredible blessing. Stella appreciated and valued him for being an exceptional husband and friend to Marilyn.
Stella and Grant owned the Travel Lodge by the Space Needle during the World Fair in the mid 1960’s. She enjoyed interacting with the customers, running at full capacity for years, while always having a room for the regulars! In the late 1970’s the Travel Lodge was sold and they became part-owners of the Landmark Inn for several years. Stella was a sharp, intelligent, glamorous, sophisticated lady that excelled in everything she did. She was a superior seamstress, fabulous cook/baker, had detail to style and always looked like a million bucks! Stella Primon = Class Act!
Stella was a pillar of stability for all 7 of her nieces and nephews. She loved deeply. Family was her most precious thing in life. The love she had for her brother John and his 7 children was nothing short of amazing. Her unconditional love was one of our greatest gifts in life. Auntie Stella will live in our hearts forever. We LOVE you so much. Kathy (Jeff), Marty (Liz), Patty (Henry), Frank (Carol), Mary (Bob), Deanne (Buck), Estelle.
Many thanks to Kline Galland Hospice and all the wonderful caregivers at Skyline Assisted Living. We appreciate the love and care provided to our loving mother and auntie!
