Our family is sad to announce the passing of Vincent Theodore Edwards on October 9th, 2022 at the age of 58 in Seattle, Washington.

Vincent Edwards was born on October 27th, 1963 in Seattle, Washington. Vince grew up in Seattle and attended Renton High School. He enjoyed playing sports, such as baseball, basketball, softball, soccer and PlayStation with friends.

Vince was a member of several softball leagues throughout the years. His passion for softball led him to play in Washington State tournaments and around the city including the Marvin Thomas tournament that Marvina and Shaun Kemp’s family hosted. His friends in the softball community knew him as a home run hitter. He most recently hit the homerun that won his team a State Championship. In his adolescent years and throughout High School he was passionate about Soccer winning Trophies, Medals and earning write ups in the local newspapers.  However, his proudest moments were becoming a father to two boys: DeVante’ and DeAndre’ Edwards.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Hicks. He is survived by his sons, DeVante Edwards (wife Diana), DeAndre Edwards, granddaughters Ava, Aria and Kaia Edwards, his father Edwin Edwards (wife Marie), sisters Jelaine Edwards and Cheryl Berry (husband Kenny), aunt Ruby Leonard, nephews Desmond, Jerrick, DeAires and former wife Annalee.

Close friends include Greg, Mark, Ernie, Jerry and Devon.

Services will be held on October 18th, 2022 at Columbia Funeral Home located at 4567 Rainier Ave S, Seattle, WA 98118.
