Virginia Lucille Bentley
Beloved Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother & Aunt. Virginia was born to Antonio & Rose Cappetto on October 25, 1932, in Seattle, WA. Virginia passed away peacefully with her family at her side on November 8, 2021.
Virginia married Marvin J. Bentley on June 12, 1953, Virginia is preceded in death by both her parents, her husband in 1984, her brother Bert Cappetto in 1992, her daughter Roseanne Dolen in 2007 and her sister Rose Fait in 2020.
Virginia is survived by her three children: James Bentley, Robin Bentley-Mackey & Marvin Bentley. Her grandchildren: James, Dawn, Siobhon, Ryan & Salena & great grandchildren: Dominque, Jalen, Kalina & Sophie, her sister Floretta Schmidt, her brother Tony & several nephews & nieces.
Virginia was known to her family and friends as Jean. Virginia worked for the Seattle Housing Authority and retired after 25 years of service in 1997. She enjoyed having canaries, working in her yard, and loved roses. Virginia won multiple community awards for her gardens. Virginia continually made donations to the veterans, fire fighters & law enforcement.
Virginia loved the holidays, but her favorite was Christmas and spending Christmas Eve with her family & friends. So, in laying our beloved Mother to rest with Jesus, the family shares with all of you “My First Christmas in Heaven.”
In lieu of flowers, please make a remembrance donation to a charity of your choice. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021, 12:30 p.m. at Columbia Funeral Home, 4567 Rainier Avenue South; Seattle; WA 98118. Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m.
There will be a Celebration of Life Reception on December 11, 2021, from 1-5:00 p.m. at Kent Commons Community Center, 525 4th Avenue N, Kent, WA 98030. Vaccination cards or a negative covid test is required by the State of WA.
