My Little Brother always said he had a good rough and tumble life. I called him Billy; his friends called him Bill. He passed away peacefully in a Seattle hospital after a brief illness on June 24th, 2021. He was born in San Francisco to William and Iris Forbes. The family moved to Portland when he was only a few months old, and he grew up in SW Portland near Cedar Hills. He went to St. Pius X Grade School, Sunset High School and Portland Community College.
He loved the people that were important in his life and was always quick to say "I love you" to the people he cared about. A most special person in his life was Kellee Reed. They reconnected after being close friends from high school and were engaged to be married this summer. He enjoyed the rural coastal life and walks on the beach and wild areas with his dogs. He really loved his dogs, and he shared his life with so many big happy dogs. He was an avid motorcycle and classic car enthusiast. After High School he completed the auto body repair program at Portland Community College and had a knack for restoring old cars to perfect condition.
He spent the last few years bringing a 1980s IROC Camaro convertible back to its original glory. He spent most of the last 20 years living in Ocean Park on the Long Beach peninsula in Washington State and had several years before that in Lincoln City. During that time, he spent three years in Florida but decided the west coast was really his home.
He is survived by his sister Dierdre "Dee" Forbes, his fiancé Kellee Reed and many cousins in Texas and Oregon. He is predeceased by his parents and beloved wife of 15 years, Donna Forbes. Private services will be held.
Donations to the Oregon Humane Society or other animal advocacy organizations would be a wonderful remembrance.
