Willie Franklin Cherry Sr. was born July 4, 1946 in Butler, Alabama to Nerias and Leona Cherry. He accepted Christ at an early age at the Butler Chapel AME church. Willie moved to Seattle, Wa in 1970 and became employed by Graphic Packaging until he retired in 2011. Some of his favorites things to do was hang out at the lake with his friends, cleaning the church on Monday’s and ushering. Willie departed this life on February 4th after a lengthy illness. He was proceeded in death by his Parents Nerias and Leona Cherry. His Wife Soncie Perryman Cherry, 1 Son Willie F Cherry Jr, 3 brothers Arthur James Cherry, Henry Cherry and George Cherry.
He leaves to cherish his memory, 1 Son Elder Nathan Cherry, Memphis, TN, 3 Grandchildren Layonna Neiyerra, Santino Vohari and Kingg LaRae, 1 Great Grandchild Aliciana Marie, 4 brothers John Dennis Cherry, Clinton MS, Robert Cherry (Queenie) Mobile AL ,UL Cherry (Loretta) Mobile AL, Johnny Cherry Seattle, Wa, 1 Sister Glenda Cherry Rainey, Clinton, MS a very special Sister in love that stuck by him until the end Rochelle Perryman , a host of nieces,nephews and extended family.
