Linda and Stanley your Mother was one of my dearest friends. We shared so many good times. We enjoyed our church and community activities. I can see the smile she had when President Clinton visited Mt. Zion when he was running the first time, and shook her hand. I will never forget the time we spent in her garden and the beautiful flowers she could not wait to give me.
She called my daughters Daria and Anita her baby sitters. They would spend the night with her. She opened her home to my brother and sister-in law for my oldest daughter's wedding. She welcomed my Mother's visits as much as we did. You know she shared her collards seeds for her to take to Baton Rouge. They were the same age. My Mother's birthday was in November and hers in February.
Mary was so proud of the two of you. She loved to share your accomplishments. We miss her but she is in a better place, and I know she has that big smile on her face as she makes her visits to family and friends.
Love,
Frances

I miss my Aunt Mary, her sense of humor and her compassion to help others. She was a big part of my life right after high school. I moved to Seattle to go to school. Thank you Aunt Mary for all your help. I was a teenager and did not always show appreciation. But now I know. In the past 4 years, I was blessed to speak with Aunt Mary over the phone. She would always ask "When are you coming to see me". Time and finances did not allow a visit as I had hoped. My Aunt Mary is with her sister and my Mother, Uria Belle Davis along with all her other sisters and brothers who proceeded her in death. What a happy family reunion they are having. To her immediate family, my cousins, Linda and Stanely...May God be your comfort during this difficult time. Psalm 23. You are in our prayers. I so long in my heart to keep in contact with you both. Linda, please, please, please when you get time, will you call me? 918-406-9160. I love you both :D My sisters, Patricia and Deborah send their love and prayers as well. We have our hope in Jesus!
